Sadie Turns 4 and Other Events of July '14

Sadie had her 4 year old check up and Mason had his 4 month check up today. Casey got to come along now that he works across the street and it was so nice to have two parents to comfort two kids after shots! Although both S and M did really well.

Sadie sat on Casey's lap and scrunched up her little face but refused to cry - can't believe it's her last round of shots until she's 11! Mason cried for about 10 seconds, then buried his head in my shoulder and promptly went to sleep.

This month Sadie turned 4 and Mason rolled from his back to his from for the first time 2 days ago. Of course I was in another room and Casey was at work but the big kids saw it!

Casey also got himself a smoker and took up a new hobby in the process.

Some of our other favorite moments in July '14 included...

Visiting with Zoocat and Papa Morgan before Debby's mouth surgery.

Having an impromptu picnic dinner in the neighbors' front yard.

Spending lots of time with Mason eating or sleeping after eating.

Creating on the new outdoor easel (thank you Papa J!).

Creating on the new chalkboard wall while Daddy's at work and Mommy and Mason are sleeping (thank you Daddy!)

Celebrating the 4th of July at Jack and Ellie's at the lake and later by setting off fireworks in the street with some of our neighbors.

Visiting with Aunt Laura and Ryan.

Having a family celebration for turning four plus a big bouncy house party later in the month. Sadie sadly got sick about half way through the party but was still able to enjoy bouncing, presents, and cake! (More pics to come.)

Lots of Picnics in the back yard and dinners on the deck.

Harvesting our carrots (which were a bit dwarfed) and watching our pumpkin patch grow (which is getting huge)!

Getting hair cuts.

Church camp with friends Ana and Elise.

Followed by science camp at Rosie's Preschool right across the street from us.

Learning to pump (yay for no more having to push!)

Learning to sit in the bumbo seat (and learning to like hanging out one-on-one with Daddy).

Learning to embrace our girlie side AND our Tom boy side.

And lots of playing, cuddling, and general silliness!
